Course Length: 2 days
Course Times: 9am – approx 5pm each day
Pre-requisites for Attending the Course
- Candidates should be confident swimming in open water
Equipment
We will supply:
All technical equipment
- Drysuit*
- Buoyancy aid*
- Helmet*
- Wetboots*
You will need:
Dry sessions:
- Warm clothes
- Waterproofs
- Sturdy footwear
Wet sessions:
- Woolly bear/thermal/fleece trousers & top to wear under the drysuit *
* Full PPE (drysuit, woolly bear, boots, helmet, and buoyancy aid), is available to hire if required. Cost - £15 per person, per day.
All technical equipment will be provided by Rescue 3 (UK).
Food and Accommodation
Non-Residential
If you are attending the course as non-residential there are lot sof accommodation options in the area - click here for details of local accommodation.
There are cafés at the centres/locally, however, it is not always possible to coincide breaks with a visit to a café. Therefore it is advisable to bring sufficient food & drink with you.
Fully Residential
If you are attending the course as fully residential, check-in is from 5.00pm on the evening before the course (evening meal provided), at a local 3* hotel. Check-out is after breakfast on the last day of the course (packed lunch provided each day).
All meals will be provided from dinner the evening before your course to lunch on the last day of your course.
For Open Enrolment courses accommodation is on a single room basis. For Contracted courses accommodation is on a shared room basis (single room option available - supplement payable).
The menu will be provided by the Hotel, any additional purchases, such as drinks, must be paid for at the time and not charged to your room.
