This 5 day course covers the concepts and techniques required by teams undertaking technical rope rescues.
A building block approach is used throughout the course so that students can progress from key concepts through to rigging and operating full systems. One day of the course is allocated to highline rope systems.

- Working at height regulations
- Knots & technical gear
- Anchors
- Belays
- Mechanical advantage systems
- Ascending & descending
- System checks & commands
- High angle raising and lowering systems
- Pick off rescues
- Casualty care and packaging,
- Low & high angle litter management
- Highline rope systems
- Passing knots
Course pre-requisites
Although there are no formal pre-requisites to attend the course, in order to gain the most from the input we recommend students should have some prior experience of working with ropes.
