Rescue from Vehicles in Water (Technician)
This new in water course covers:
Vehicle behaviour in water,
Dynamic on scene Risk Assessment,
Scene control and safety
Advanced vehicle stabilisation.
In water cutting (optional).
Wading based approach and rescues.
Swift water / swimming based approach and rescues.
Tethered and line based approach and rescues.
Boat based (non powered) approach and rescues.
Night time operations.
This course can be delivered at any suitable venue with access to water of the right quality and grade.
2 day course including night exercise.
You will need a current Rescue 3 International SRT(Unit 1) or SRT Advanced qualification.

Swiftwater Rescue Technician Unit 1 (SRT Unit 1)
A four day course to train personnel in suitable techniques to undertake rescues in a swiftwater and flood environment. This course is compliant to standards laid down by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).

Swiftwater Rescue Technician Advanced (SRT A)
A five day course, including two night exercises, which builds on the in-water and rope rescue concepts introduced at Unit 1 and introduces search and team management issues and night operations. This course is particularly beneficial for those who will be dealing with advanced water or vertical access to water situations or who will be in charge of a team of rescue technicians in a swiftwater environment. The course is compliant to standards laid down by the NFPA.
